Michael Joseph & Anna (Berle) Burke - Michael was the son of Irish immigrants. Michael & Anna had at least three children: Carl, William, and Ella. Carl & Ella are buried at St. Mary's, and William appears to be buried across the street at Marion Cemetary.
Carroll Edward & Mary Martha (Bieber) Burke (DuBar) - Carroll, who was usually called Carl, was the son of Michael & Anna Burke, and had Irish ancestry. Mary was the daughter of Benjamin Bieber and Eudora Ault. Mary remarried Robert DuBar after Carl's death. Mary's ancestry was likely British. They had one child, Anna Mae Burke.
Joseph Sens & Mary Bell Gough - Joseph was the son of Frederick Sens and Cornelia Kronenberger. Fred was a German immigrant, Cornelia was the daughter of German immigrants. Mary was the daughter of Frank Gough and Susan Daniel, both of Kentucky. Mary's ancestry was likely British.
So what's the connection between these families? One of the sons of Joseph and Mary Sens was Bernard A. Sens. He married Anna Mae Burke, daughter of Carl & Mary Burke. The children of Bernard and Anna Mae, at least as far as I can figure right now, are 25% German, 25% Irish, and 50% British.
This isn't all the family members buried at St. Mary's, but I can't quite find the rest of my pictures at the moment...
